The need

Connect identity to a field clock-in workflow.

Build Link ID needed a technical foundation for recording workforce clock-ins on construction sites in Canada, including facial recognition through AWS Rekognition.

The work required direct collaboration with the founder, decisions that other engineers could build on and integration boundaries clear enough for the product to continue through delivery.

System foundation

A clear path from field interaction to application response.

01

Site clock-in

A field interaction begins the identity workflow.

02

Identity request

The application prepares and sends the required request.

03

AWS Rekognition

Facial recognition supports the identity check.

04

Application response

The result returns to the workforce product.

João's role

Technical decisions that a team could continue.

  1. 01

    Direct client collaboration

Worked directly with founder Danilo Chaves to translate operational needs into technical decisions.

  2. 02

    Architecture and foundation

Made core architectural decisions and established the system foundation.

  3. 03

    Integration implementation

Implemented important integrations, including the AWS Rekognition capability.

  4. 04

    Collaborative delivery

Structured the work so additional engineering capacity could continue the product through delivery.

The project combined João's technical leadership with Web Star Studio's delivery capacity. The product is now running in production.

Have a product that needs senior technical ownership?

Bring the operational problem.

I can help define the technical path, establish the foundation and take responsibility for a bounded delivery outcome.
