The need

Make order data useful beyond the ordering screen.

DOM Burguer received its delivery orders through GloriaFood, but the owner needed a clearer operational view across weeks, months, years and individual products.

The system also needed to notify the team when orders arrived and support a simple customer registration and food-review flow, all within a tight budget.

System flow

From order event to information the owner could use.

01

Order event

GloriaFood sent order lifecycle events through webhooks.

02

Serverless ingestion

AWS Lambda mapped, validated and processed each event.

03

Reliable storage

Normalized order data was saved with safeguards against failures and duplicates.

04

Operational use

The dashboard, alerts and customer feedback flow used the stored data.

João's role

End-to-end delivery under practical constraints.

  1. 01

    Integration design

Designed the webhook flow between GloriaFood and the reporting system.

  2. 02

    Backend and data model

Built the AWS Lambda processing, order mapping and database persistence.

  3. 03

    Dashboard and reporting

Delivered views across time periods and products so the owner could review the operation.

  4. 04

    Operational reliability

Added idempotency, retries, a dead-letter queue and email alerts for failed processing.

  5. 05

    Customer feedback flow

Connected order notifications with a registration form and a way for customers to review the food.

The initial system was delivered within one week, handled approximately 300 orders per week and remained in use for several years, until the restaurant was sold and the new owner adopted different software.

Have operational data trapped in another system?

Turn the integration into a usable outcome.

I can help connect the source system, make the flow reliable and deliver the operational view your team actually needs.
